Garden of work
As we slowly make our way back to the office, the office we come back to will likely look different from what it was before. After working from home for the past 18+ months, many people have come to appreciate the physical separation between work and home, and how that affects their mental health and well-being. The layout and overall approach of how this space came to fruition was inspired by a garden. Each planting bed has a different type of plant or flower and each plot requires different attention. The new office can have a similar approach. Every work area may be varied, but they should all be comfortable, integrate technology, embrace flexibility, support collaborative work, and allow for moments of respite. Knowing that many employees will return to the office to collaborate, it’s important to provide team ‘pods’ or smaller neighborhoods to support the type of impromptu collaboration that was difficult to recreate in a remote setting.

Visitors can expect to experience a variety of settings for them to discover and use as their mood, needs and tasks evolve through the work day. The various furniture settings will support both collaborative and individual tasks.
